LAKELAND FC & FLORIDA TROPICS TO

PARTNER IN POLK COUNTY YOUTH SOCCER

TO OUR MEMBERS AND OUR COMMUNITY

Firstly, We want to thank all members for their understanding during the recent adjustments to parks and facilities as a result of Hurricane Irma. It was not easy for all involved to adjust so fluidly to different locations for practices and games but I must say everyone’s attitude was impeccable regarding these adjustments.

We want to also thank the City of Lakeland Parks and Recreation Department for affording us the opportunity to use multiple facilities during Lake Parker Park closure. We would also like to thank Polk County Parks and Recreation Department for allowing us the continued usage of Loyce Harpe Park during the clean-up phase of Irma.

All facilities are now open and we are back to our original schedule so, again, thank you all for providing us the opportunity to continue to play this beautiful game.

Secondly, We would like to officially announce that the Board of Directors of Lakeland Futbol Club have approved a partnership with Tropics Soccer Club. As part of this partnership Lakeland Futbol Club will apply to FYSA for a name change to: ‘Lakeland Tropics Futbol Club’. Proceeding approval, Lakeland Futbol Club will begin the process of a name change. Please see to the right what this means for our club and your child.

The following benefits will be at no additional cost to our members. We will provide our members with further updates as this change moves forward.

Should you need anything further please contact our office 863-644-4381 or email eoghan@lakelandfc.org

Sincerely,

Eoghan Conlon

Technical Director
